Ahhhh, I Am So Behind
I feel like I am a whole world behind on the events and happenings of the Indian Adventure. So let me to rewind to Wednesday – the sleepover. Sharon (from work), the lovely newly-wed, invited me to stay. 6pm came and I jumped on the back of her motorbike, a decent drive laid ahead. About a third of the way home the heavens opened and we were drowned! With a lack of alternatives, we pressed on. First stop was the in-laws – a highlight being little Joy showing off riding her brand new bike.

Final stop – the love shack. Before I knew it, bed time had arrived and we were still to eat. Sharon whipped up her first meal as a married woman – a yummy curry that I plan to concoct upon my return home. We chatted, ate and I jumped into the bed that was so very kindly sacrificed for me. I was so overwhelmed by the lengths they went to making my stay comfortable!
And then came Thursday. I met up with Nate, Wendy and Gary for some young-un fun. We went to the Bike and Barrel at Residency Towers – an English style pub and in short, it was a fun evening of eating, drinking and lots and lots of dancing! It ended up being a late night but oh the fun!

Then last but not least Friday – my final day at Growing Opportunity and last night in Chennai! I had a horrible time at the post office (by horrible I mean horrendous – over 2 hours in the midday heat, pushy people, dehydration.... the list goes on) sending gifts and unwanted clothes home and I FINALLY finished my data entry. IT came through with the goods and recovered my missing data which left me a very happy girl at 6pm. Just my final report to go and tick – PPI project DONE! Cheryl and I went to Sparky’s American Diner for my last dinner and then I was off home to pack. Can’t believe my time here is done. HOLIDAY HERE I COME!
