A Very White Welcome

Okay for starters, Niseko is a skiier's paradise, truly a winter wonderland. Words do not suffice when attempting the articulate how incredible this place is. It takes my canadian experience to a whole 'nother level. It is beautiful and magical and very very white.

Skiing here is powder on powder on powder ALL day. No one is punished here for sleeping in. It does snow pretty much all day though. Luckily the snow is forgiving and even if you slip up in the whiteout conditions you fall onto a pillow of snow. Just to give you an idea, Matty was coming down a pretty steep face yesterday and his ski clipped off (i would say he fell but he didn't and he'd give me crap if i didn't make that one clear). Anywho, it literally took over 15minutes of searching to find his ski. It was completely buried. We looked such weirdos walking around stabbing the snow with our poles praying we'd hit something solid.

Okay so that's probably enough of that.

Update on everything else: we're all well except for very sore legs from following matty through the trees, food has been incredible, its cold (good Vienna prepping), the locals are oh so kind, bars are cute and i caught up with my darling friend katie last night who is here ski instructing for the season - a delight.

Ok love you and leave you....
